2 Bar Jazz Odd-Adiddle Phrases
These exercises use Odd-Addidle stickings which you can find in the Basic Paradiddle PDF. They are combined in both swing eighth note and eighth note triplet environments. Each of these patterns are orchestrated three ways; bass drum and snare drum, hi hat and snared drum, hi hat and bass drum. All are played accompanied with the swing ride cymbal pattern. The patterns can be played in longer phrases however two bar phrase are nice short phrases that can create nice tension and release musical moments with the odd grouping played against duple time patterns.
